After the succes of in 2009 and 2010, Ballettoday has been a part of and collaborated with different international events and organizations in Italy, Spain, Korea and the USA. In 2012 a series of exciting and innovating programs are attracting international attention! Please note that all classes are always accompanied by Valeria Vitaterna (Rome&Menorca), a widely recognized international professional accompanist (or a colleague).
The month of July 2012 will continue with the succesful INJURY PREVENTION COURSE in collaboration with the Escuala de Danse Ferreries (Founder/Dir. Carmen Estela Fernandez) and the Ayuntamient de Ferreries, on the Island of Menorca (Spanish Baleares). Last summer over 40 students from Spain, the UK, the Benelux and Germany joined the local talents in an intensive between the amazing beaches and vast dance spaces in ballet and contemporary dance classes as well as the introduction of the Yamuna Body Rolling. Special attention was given to all students and many learned how to address and heal their pains. There will be again a special caring by the teachers: Ana Lobe (USA), Beatriz Torres Etayo (Cuba), Juan Mateu (Spain), Pere Buades (Spain), and Artistic Director Luc de Lairesse. A new guest is Broadway specialist SUSIE KELLERMAN, teacher & choreographer who's wit and energetic teaching has enchanted dancers and students alike. Susie will work with both levels on world-renown Broadway dances. we are projecting a closing gala performance with international guests in a professional theatre.
